It seems like the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom, the company’s wedge-selfie-camera phone, came out yesterday (actually, it was in June this year), and Oppo already has a successor.

According to an official tweet, the new phone is called Oppo Reno 2. It’s launching on Aug. 28 in India, and — besides the wedge selfie camera — boasts four rear cameras and 20x zoom. 

It’s important to note that Oppo doesn’t say anything about the nature of that zoom — it may be optical, digital, or hybrid. The original Reno had 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom and 60x digital zoom, so it’s fair to assume that the successor will have at least that, but we’ll have to wait a bit to get all the details.  Read more…
